During your day, you might hand out your business card to many people. Or whenever you attend networking events, you exchange business cards with people. So you might as well use it as an opportunity to build traffic to your Web site. If you're not using this opportunity, you might be leaving traffic on the table.
What's this tip that you can use now? It's to simply put your URL on your business card. A certain percentage of people who receive your business card will visit your site. But if you leave your URL out, you're missing out on free traffic.
A great thing is that this tip is easy to apply. All you have to do is copy and paste your URL onto your business card. Then print up a new batch of business cards that have your URL on it. And then watch your traffic grow as you hand out your new business cards.
If you want the URL on your business card to stand out so you get more traffic, you could try putting your URL in bold. You could also try changing the font color to make the URL stand out. Or you could do both. Change the font color and make it bold.
If your business card is white, you could use a red font color for your URL (and a black font color for the rest of the text on your business card). Many sales letters use red for the headline because red catches attention. You can apply this proven technique to your URL too.
You can also separate your URL from the rest of the text by inserting more white space. For instance, if you have 5 lines for your contact information (all single-spaced) and the fifth line has your URL, you can insert a blank line above the URL. This will separate the URL and make it stand out more.
