The worst part about weight loss is getting started. A lot of us don’t know exactly what to do in order to achieve our desired weight. We try different diets, weight loss supplements and fitness videos in an effort to find an effective dieting plan. However, majority of the time we are so exhausted from trying so many things that we give up on weight loss altogether. In order to save you some time, I will provide you with some of the most effective weight loss tips.

  1. Be sure that you get all of the necessary nutrients that your body needs. This means that you should consume a diet that is rich in whole grains, low fat dairy, lean meats, fish, poultry eggs, seeds, fruits and vegetables. You should no longer consume refined grains, whole milk products and unhealthy animal fat. Increase your intake of healthy protein (fish and beans) and fiber (fruits and veggies).

  2. Increase your physical activity. Try to exercise at least 5 times a week. Incorporate 30 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of strength training into every routine. Exercise helps you build muscle, increase metabolic activity and burn excess calories.

  3. Have a healthy meal schedule. Be sure never to skip meals or overeat. Eating two large meals throughout the day will not help you lose weight (neither will skipping meals). Try to consume a mini meal ever 3 to 4 hours. Include protein and fiber in each mini meal so that you feel full longer. The only way to avoid munchies is by avoiding hunger.

These few tips will help you get started on an effective weight loss plan. If you still find it difficult to shed those few extra pounds you can also try all natural herbal remedies (such as hoodia gordonii) and whey protein shakes.
