(NC) - More than half of Canadian households with children use the Internet daily for browsing, shopping or researching different products. A whopping 87 per cent use the Internet at least once a week to do the same.

Enter Staples Business Depot. The business retailer has decided to cater to the demand by launching a fun, interactive and informative back-to-school Web site that will help teachers, parents and children find what they want and need. And judging from the company's recent survey about the online shopping habits of Canadian families, the Internet is growing as a market of choice.

Almost half of Canadian families use the Internet to research back-to-school products, especially parents of younger children. Sixty-one per cent of parents of kindergarteners would consider using or have used the Internet for back-to-school information, compared to 52 per cent of parents of primary school students; 37 per cent of those with children in grades 4 to 6 would use the Internet while 51 per cent in grades 7 to 8 would and 51 per cent in high school would as well. Visit easy.staples.ca to find out about what's new at Staples for the upcoming back-to-school season.
