A Leger Marketing poll reveals that more than two thirds (70%) of Canadians describe themselves as having an "adventurous" barbecue personality-and yet this confidence is expressed so differently from region to region. According to the data, barbeque aficionados across Canada would demonstrate their individual flare as follows:

• Eastern Canadians would entertain us with lots of Atlantic salmon;

• Quebec residents would prepare a feast with local game meat;

• Ontarians have perfected the art of grilling chicken and beef;

• Prairie province grillers would double your serving of the freshest grilled vegetables;

• Albertans will treat us to the succulent experience of Alberta beef; and

• British Columbia barbecue parties are at their best when Pacific salmon is on the grill.

Of course, being adventurous is not only what we cook, but how we cook it. Seasoning, in particular, can be improvised creatively. A few dashes of your favourite condiments can make your meal mouth watering. Here are some popular 'secrets' from grillers across Canada:
